“Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.

Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.

We are a multi-generational family of Bible-based believers who have been ministering to the Redding community since 1878. We believe in the authority of Scripture, the Triune God, and that salvation is only through belief and acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

FPC is a member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church,

founded upon Reformed Theology directly derived from the Bible.

COME AS YOU ARE

In joining First Presbyterian Church (FPC) for worship,

you will find a friendly group of Christians waiting to welcome you.

We consistently have visitors, seekers and those new to the church.

Redding being Redding, dress is usually casual

(but we do see a few coats and ties).

Communion is on the first Sunday of each month;

our Communion table is open to all those who know Jesus.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Our Children's Ministry meets every Sunday morning during the service.

We also have a nursery at the back of the Sanctuary.

Take the next step and get connected to First Presbyterian!

Through our Christianity 101 course, small group Bible studies,

or other serving and learning opportunities,

you will be able to meet others in our church family,

find community, and grow in your faith.
